It’s a Driving Life – poem

It’s a Driving Life

Orange cones

Traffic delays

Accident on side of the road

Green lights go

Yellow slow down

Red light stop

Being directed by cops when lights out

Yield to your left

Yield to your right

Don’t forget to stop

Slow down and decrease your speed

Kick it up to the speed limit

And set it to cruise

One way street

And take it the wrong direction

Mixers high off the ground

Interstate changing

Watch for other drivers

And be observant of surroundings

This is not just driving

This is life

Let God take the steering wheel for your life!

When I wrote this poem, I was thinking about how life is very much liking driving. Someone is in control and it’s not always us.
